Paul and Lynnie Jolly welcome you to Higher Gitcombe, a fabulous and newly built architect designed Country House. Set in l.3 acres of south-facing gardens close to Dartmouth and Blackpool Sands, and the local villages of Dittisham, Cornworthy and Ashprington. Higher Gitcombe is well positioned to enjoy the abundance of attractions and activities nearby.

Our bedrooms are beautifully clean, and breakfast is served to you in the dining room on your own individual table. Or, if the weather permits, outside on the large terrace which overlooks the lawns and countryside.

We like to use fresh organic products, seasonal local ingredients and our excellent breakfasts include: A selection of cereal and muesli. Juices. Fruit and yoghurt. Bacon, Sausages, Tomatoes and Eggs. Freshly ground coffee. Home made preserves. A selection of teas.

We can also arrange special celebratory breakfasts for example, scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, champagne, freshly squeezed orange juice and home-made cakes - chocolate and amoretto, apple, lemon or even a fresh fruit pavolva! Prices and options on application. Similarly, if you have any special dietary requirements, please let us know in advance.

The Cream Room

Beautiful bedroom with superking bed and pillows, White Company linen, Laura Ashley chandeliers and Nicky Cornell furniture. Flat screen television and hospitality tray. Walk in wardrobe. Fully tiled
ensuite bathroom with double ended jacuzzi bath, fluffy towels on heated towel rail. French doors to Juliet balcony with magnificent views to Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside.

The Blue Room

Bright room with lovely views over the south facing gardens and surrounding countryside. King size bed, flat screen television, walk-in dressing room and hospitality tray. Fully tiled ensuite bathroom with over head shower and heated towel rail.

Room Price £90 to include breakfast.

The Family Suite

This suite would suit a family with two children. Lovely views over the surrounding countryside to Dartmoor, it comprises a bedroom with zip and link beds which have the adaptability to be two singles or a king size bed. A walk in dressing room with hospitality tray. Fully tiled walk-in shower room with heated towel rail and a separate twin bedded room with childrens books and teddies!

Family suite room price £130 to include breakfast.

The Loft Room

The loft room is available for additional accommodation and comprises
two solid wood trundle beds which can sleep two to four persons. Price on application.
