What they look like inside?  Why Lighthouses are no longer manned?
Start Point Lighthouse has illuminated the South Devon coastline for 175 years.  Come for a guided tour and see how it works... watch the flow of the tidal race, see passing ships, stunning coastline and wildlife;  Climb the tower to hear stories of storms, shipwrecks and Lighthouse living.

Feb: Half term: Sun 12th - Fri 17th 12noon - 5pm
March: Every Wed & Sun; BH w/e: Fri 6th - Mon 9th, 12 noon - 5pm
April: Open 1st 4th 6th 7th 8th 9th 11th 15th 18th 22nd 25th & 29th
May: Closed for maintenance
June: Every Wed, Thurs & Sun; Jubilee & Half Term; Mon 4th - Fri 8th, 12 noon - 5pm
July: Every day except Fri & Sat, 11am - 5pm
August; Every day except Sat, 11am - 5pm
Sept: Every Wed, Thurs & Sun, 12 noon - 5pm
Oct: Sun 21st & Wed 24th, plus Half Term: Sun 28th - Sat 3rd Nov, 12noon - 5pm

Admission Charges 2012
Adults £4/Child (5 - 16yrs) £2/Families (2 plus 3) £10. 
Tours run continuously and take about 40 minutes - pre booking not necessary.
Group Visits by prior arrangement
