Information
Dartmouth Royal Regatta is one of the largest in the country with events for all the family as well as sailors and rowers.
The WEARA and Local Rowing days on Thursday and Friday are always well attended and fiercely competitive. The series of Sailing races take place out in Start Bay for the whole week 23 - 30 August and steam boats will be moored up on the pontoon outside the Dartmouth Yacht Club all regatta period.
The Street market on the North Embankment and Shopping Village on Coronation Park run for all three days and are wonderful places for bargains or high quality crafts.
Other events you may like to watch or take part in include barrel rolling, tug of war, review of craft, trolley race, road races and swimming with the tennis tournament starting on 22nd and running through to the finals on Saturday 28th.
There will be firework displays on Thursday and Saturday with the Red Arrows arriving for their fantastic display on Friday 27th. Other air displays will include Battle of Britain Memorial Flight on Wednseday, Chinook 25th and 28th, and the Black Nights parachuting into the river on Saturday 28th.
Our local lifeboat will also be doing a demonstration on the river.
