Come and enjoy horse riding in Devon with SRS Training, near Staverton, Totnes (formerly Sorley Riding School). We provide riding tuition and hacking for all ages and abilities, for locals and holiday makers. We offer a relaxed and friendly environment for learning to ride, with qualified tuition from experienced instructors. Beginners and nervous riders are very welcome. We have a variety of well-trained horses and ponies to suit all, from tots to adults, and at all times your safety and enjoyment is our priority.

Our Pony Days are ideal for pony-mad kids, who can learn how to care for as well as ride their ponies. We offer both full and half days, which include a lesson and hack, learning how to groom, plait and care for your pony, as well as quizzes, games and much more. For smaller children we also offer a lesson and mini hack combination on the lead rein.

For families and groups our Starter Hacks are ideal. Have a 15 minute lesson to give you the basics of walk, halt, turn and trot; and to help you to feel at ease on your horse. We then go for an escorted hack along peaceful Devon lanes and tracks. These are very safe and suitable for a mixed group, ages 6+ to adult. For more experienced riders we also offer hacks around the lanes and bridlepaths, with steady canters when terrain allows.

For local riders we offer lessons and hacks throughout the year, as well as Saturday and Sunday Clubs where you can learn both riding and stable management. We are also a Pony Club Area Centre, offering weekly mid-week rallies for the very keen and full day rallies in the school holidays, including a camp in the summer. A loan scheme is also available.

BHS and ABRS approved, Pony Club Area Centre, licensed and insured.
