ABOUT

The South West Coast Path is a 630 mile stretch of superb coastline all around the South West of England – and Dartmouth is on its doorstep! The Coast Path itself is the longest National Trail in the country; it follows the entire south coast of Devon from Plymouth to Lyme Regis. If you are looking to walk part of the Coast Path – Dartmouth is a great place to base yourself. The coast path allows you access to some of the more hidden gems along the coastline, including staggering cliff faces and small secluded coves which are hard to reach unless on foot.

From Dartmouth you can explore some of the most beautiful and dramatic sections of the South West Coast Path – from the charming River Dart Estuary to Start Point and the stunning lighthouse there. With so much to explore in Dartmouth and the surrounding areas, the South West Coast Path is a great place to start when deciding on how to spend your day.

The Coast Path area in Dartmouth offers 35 Walks within 10 miles of Dartmouth – 9 easy, 19 moderate and 7 challenging walks depending on our ability and distance you want to cover.

Their website has an interactive map you can use to find the best walk for you – whether it be a full day out exploring with the dog, or a quick coastal walk to the local pub.
