The Wisteria Balcony Suite can be priced for 2 or 4 people (bedrooms linked by exterior, covered balcony) and has a grandstand view of the grass tennis court.
The Folly is the perfect place for a romantic break, sleeps 2 and has windows looking out over the gardens, tennis court and the bank beyond the wild stream at the back.
The Barn can sleep up to 6 in 3 bedrooms. It is a large and airy Carpenter Oak building, overlooks the tennis court and is right next to the swimming pool.
The Lower Mill sleeps 5 in 2 rooms, has a large sitting room and a private patio linking to Upper Mill if desired. The Upper Mill which sleeps 6 in 3 big rooms also has a private terrace – with a view over the gate to our pygmy goats and India Runner ducks!
Included in the price for all of the cottages are a conservatory-housed heated swimming pool, a beautifully manicured grass tennis court (for the summer months), a croquet lawn, numerous outdoor seating areas, a sauna, a gym and a games room with snooker, table football and ping pong on the terrace. All apartments have free Wifi.
The sociable bar and communal sitting room in the old manor farmhouse are always open and you can enjoy a delicious dinner (available two evenings a week) in the restaurant. If you feel like taking it easy we can provide gourmet main courses which you can cook in your own kitchen. Fingals is family friendly, child friendly, dog friendly and, well... just plain friendly! Map & Directions
Take the Totnes/Buckfastleigh turning off the A38 dual carriageway, between Exeter and Plymouth. Follow signs to Totnes and at the first set of traffic lights coming into Totnes turn right towards Kingsbridge, and then left 1 mile up the hill at a sign to Cornworthy and Ashprington. Turn right after 1.5 miles at the sign to Tuckenhay and Bow Bridge. Drive through Tuckenhay. 2 miles on turn right at ruin, signposted to Dittisham and East Cornworthy; drive on for 1.5 miles descending steep hill; 100 yards after small bridge turn right where Fingals is signposted.
WARNING sat. navs. can take you down impassable disused green lanes close to Fingals.
Public Transport Directions
There is a regular service from Paddington to Totnes taking approximately 3 hours on the inter-city express. Be wary of buying a single ticket - it is often the same price as a return.
Fingasl is situated in the Southwest of England, just a few miles from Dartmouth in Devon. Our nearest airport is Exeter and the nearest port is Plymouth - both are about one hour's drive.
